The new watertaxi, La Plena, built by Blount Boats Inc, of Warren, RI, is undergoing sea trials in preparation for delivery to Puerto Rico Maritime Transportation.
Once in Puerto Rico it will operate on San Juan harbor, running between terminals at Old San Juan, Catano and Hato Rey. Full service operation is expected later this year when she is joined by additional watertaxis.
