Bristol Harbor Helps Convert the 210 ft. Platform Supply Vessel Trico Moon for Subsea Work

Bristol, RI – February 2nd, 2010 – Bristol Harbor Group, Inc.(BHGI), Bristol, RI, has recently completed design plans for modifications to Trico Moon, a 210 ft. platform supply vessel (PSV) for Trico Marine Services Company, Inc., The Woodlands, TX. Trico Marine Services and Deep Ocean Engineering, Inc. performed the modifications in Mexico, which included the addition of a habitation module, as well as subsea equipment on deck.
 
The installation/addition of the temporary habitability module to the port side of the cargo deck and design modifications toinstall Deep Ocean AS (wholly owned subsidiary of Trico Marine Group) Remote Operating Vehicle (ROV) spread to the vessel included review and development of structural, safety, life saving, and sanitary upgrades to the vessel. All plans were reviewed and approved by the American Bureau of Shipping, and the vessel’s Certificate of Inspection was increased from 22 to 33.   

Ray Hoover, Trico’s Global Director of Technical Services commented, “BHGI’s timely and comprehensive commitment to the project enabled us to successfully convert the Moon, and put the vessel to work.” Trico Moon is currently supporting diving operations off the east Coast of Mexico.
