SENIOR NAVAL ARCHITECT
Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. (BHG) is seeking a SENIOR NAVAL ARCHITECT
BHG is a full service design and engineering company located in Bristol, Rhode Island. BHGI was founded by University of Michigan naval architects in 1993 and has been continuously providing engineering support to both vessel builders and owners since its inception.

Recent and current projects include design and engineering of several double hull oil tank barges, several high-speed catamaran ferries, a 45 ft motor yacht, and a line of powerboats from 19 ft to 27ft.

BHG engineers enjoy a casual but fast paced work environment and seek a self-starter for this position. Some travel required.

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
• PE in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Project management experience
• Demonstrated interest in small commercial vessel design
• Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD
• Boating experience and interest

NAVAL ARCHITECT
Bristol Harbor Group (BHG) is seeking a motivated, full-time NAVAL ARCHITECT to participate in the growing demand for small commercial vessel design. Our engineers form a casual, fast-paced work environment located along the waters of Bristol Harbor, on the Narragansett Bay. The position will involve a wide range of vessel design and engineering, as well as oversight of commercial vessel construction. Travel is required for shipyard visits, vessel inspections, as well as tests and trials.

Required skills:
• Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
• Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Familiarity with classification society and regulatory body rules

Desired skills:
• Knowledge of GHS, Rhinocerous, and FastShip
• EIT in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
• Interest in small commercial vessel design
• Interest in boating
